Truth or Fiction?

Here is your first blog assignment. Read the 4 statements below about me. Three of them are true but ONE is false. Leave a comment to say which one you believe is false. You need to EXPLAIN your reasoning. Remember that you want to benefit by taking all of your blogging opportunities to express yourself thoughtfully, critically, and "generously" (don`t be cheap!).

Next, on your own blog, write 4 statements about you. Make sure ONE is false. Try to be a good liar!

Visit AT LEAST 4 other blogs from our A2 class and leave comments to explain how you chose their lies.

What am I lying about? Remember to explain your choice in detail.

1. I first drove a Volkswagon when I was 11 years old.

2. In June, 2009, I received my third dan black belt in taekwondo.

3. A few years ago, I won a 21-speed bike.

4. When I have time, I'd like to take a class in cake decorating.

I'm thinking about the 1st one and the 3rd one. About the 1st statement, many people drive when they were young, either they stole the car from their parents or the parents teach their children. That's why i think the 3rd statement is the false (3. A few years ago, I won a 21-speed bike). There are many reasons, but the main reason is that this sport need a strong muscles.i don't think that you were the strongest among the participants, maybe be you were the 2ed :p. However, you might got in the rice, but i don't think that you won.

Rebecca you drove a Volkswagon when I was 11 years old? I doubt that. were you just doing a tryout with your parent's car or you did a proper journey by yourself? no it's not possible for a 11 year old girl driving a Volkswagon on a Montreal street unless you looked really mature,11 year old looked like 16?(That's the legal age to drive if not mistaken.) About receiving third dan black belt in ,I can't make a guess cause your body is covered. It is probably true. em. And if you rock taekwondo, won a 21-speed bike sounds like piece of cake isn't it? we will figure out your cake decorating by the time you bring a cake along~

Please read a little more carefully. Did I say I won a bicycle race? Or did I just say I won a bicycle?

I'm focusing on the novel hahaha :p you disturbed me, because i was reading and i got e-mail about your comment. :p

maybe you won the 21-speed bike. So,i think the 4th one is the false one. The reason is that you mention something about classes that you take. No one of the classes that you mentioned is about cakes or something like that. this i the only reason i have for number 4. That's why i didn't think about the 2ed one, because you mentioned that you took physical classes. However, I'm still thinking about the first one, because many parents let their children drive when they are young but not all of them do that.

I suppose that the first statement is false. when people are in 11-year-old it is impossible to drove car, even u parents teach u how to drive. Also, drive a car should a driving licence

It is really complicated, but i finally find something that can suggest the truth. First, I think NO.2 and NO.4 are the truth. The evidence comes from your introduction of yourslef. You said that you practise taekwondo and bake up a strom when you have time, so those two details are totally possible. Then we look at NO.1, you can drove a car when you was 11. It is nothing about law, You just tried an experience. You didn't mention how long you drove and I guess you just had a first experience of driving. OK, now only the NO.3 was left. I didn't anything that connect to the last one, but those three things are more possible and logical. I also guess about your sentence(a few years ago), you konw, when people are lying, they usually don't say the specific time. Acorrding to the above things, i guess you didn't get a bike.

For my personal point of view, i think the second one is a lair.I was used to be in the althletic school for taekwondo major and i knew that it wasnt a easy sport which everyone could possiblely haddle with. Moreover, even the best player in our team, who won the the championship of the provincial competition when he was 20 year-old,could not receive a thired ban black belt. However, you look like a little bit way out of the possibility of such accomplishment of that kind of game(i dont mean to be rude at all,you look fine). You mentioned that it happend in june of 2009,and i dont think that its gonna be a big physically change which happend on your body recently(in another word,i dont think you look different comparied with one year ago). so that is my opinion, and hope it can be logically understood by you.The first one could be a good exprience for your early age, so i cant really tell if its true or not.You can win a bike by any kinds of activities, you can win the bike by winning the lottery or something else.It doesnt have to be in race.So its also hard to tell. For the last one, i remembered that you mentioned something related to baking cake or something in the class, and its rational for a woman who wants to take a class in cake decorating if she gets free time.

sorry,its a liar not a lair

hey..i'm believe that the first one is false because of several reasons. Most importantly , you seems like you were a good girl when you were a kid so that's one reason.Secondly, as you are canadian so i dont think you can drive when you are 11 and i mean you cant even id you want to steal the car. Also the parents here will never allow their kids to even try to drive at this age.

It is really easy to comfused. But in my point of view, the 1st are false.Because it is dangerous for an 11-year-old child to drive a car.I don't know if the 3rd is truth because I have few ideas about bike race.I surpose that the 2st and 4th are truth. The evidence comes from the introduction of you wrote.

I think the first one is false, i don't think rebecca drove for the first time when she was 11 years old, or maybe rules in canada are completely different from Italy!

i doubt you drove a Volkswagon at the age of 11. Laws in montreal are pretty strict, i wouldnt believe that an officer would see an 11 year old girl driving and allowing her. Moreover, your parents wouldnt allow you to do such an
anti-childish act.
Another thing worth mentioning, when I first came to your class last summer in level five, I remember you telling me that you play taekwondo, but im not sure!!So this is a reason why I didnt choose the second one.

Hi Rebecca
I think I'm late :D
but you know with the novel project we don't have time
--------
so I'm gonna try to guess and I hope I can come with something.

1- about the fist statement I think ok as a first car maybe you drove a VW but at the age of 11 I think it's a big lie. It's really too early to drive at this age here but in my country I think it's normal hahaha so my guess is the first one is a lie.

2- mmm Rebecca and taekwondo !!
yeah why not I can imagine that ( true)

3- actually I didn't understand it well. if you won a bike or you win a race with a bike. but I'm gonna say (TRUE)

4- the last statement I think it's clear. because you really a professional cake designer (True)

I don't know but I think you are a good lair cuz the statements were unthinkable.

I really dont know how to find out the lie. So just guessing the 4th is false, because Mrs.Rebecca seems less likely to take class about cooking cake or sth.
Reasons:
1> She is really good enough at cake things. No need for classing.
2> No patience to take such female courses.
